Saturday, February 5, 2011 We celebrated Xia Bliss's very first birthday party. It was a beautiful day. We had her party at Hardberger Park just a mere mile from our home. It turned out to be such a beautiful day. We were so happy that whole families came out - even some with their puppy dogs. After a week of real winter weather, everyone wanted out of the house! It was great to have all our friends there to celebrate with us and rejoice in Xia's first year of life. We are so blessed. So blessed to have our family near, so blessed with dear friends, blessed for all the generous gifts that Xia Bliss received. She is LOVED, We are LOVED! Her whole summer wardrobe is pretty much complete and the learning toys she received will keep her sharp all the while entertaining her!
Xia loved seeing everyone. She spent a lot of time in the arms of Abuelita Garcia, Auntie Kara, Prima MariCruz, and other friends and family! Xia buried her head in my shoulders when she realized everyone was singing happy birthday to her! I've never seen her get shy like that! She loved the taste of the icing on her special, carrot cake cupcake. She didn't waste any time licking that frosting off her fingers!! It was too cute. She spent some time swinging -if she had it her way, she would've been swinging the whole time!
On Xia's actual birthday (2-3-10), My sister, Laura and I decorated nearly 70 cupcakes! They looked amazing! I had made strawberry, chocolate, and carrot cupcakes. They were yummy! Here theme was owls and cupcakes. It was so sweet!
