First Year Anniversary Highlights

We made a weekend of our first year wedding anniversary this past weekend here in San Antonio, TX. We are planning our anniversary trip, baby moon, and vacation, all in one, for next month. So this past weekend we made a point to eat and visit local areas of town that had special meaning to us or that paralleled special meaning and memories.

Here are some highlights from our 1st year wedding anniversary weekend!

Friday we started out hand in hand making our way through the Parade of Homes. It was amazing. We got so many decorating ideas and started imagining our dream home! Later on we had fish and chips at Mad Dogs on the San Antonio River Walk. It was nearly as good as the delicious fish and chips we feasted upon, nearly everyday, on our honeymoon in the Cook Islands. Mad Dogs brought us as close as we could get to the Cook Islands this year! We also stopped by the Alamo for a photo shoot, where we stopped off after our wedding on our way to our hotel.

Saturday morning I received my flowers:) and I made a delicious brunch served on our wedding china. We spent the rest of the day and evening at the Rim. It was movie date night with dinner and shopping! No pictures to document, but shopping bags to prove!!!

Sunday was our actual 1 year anniversary. We attended church and spent the afternoon in our media room watching football and sporting our Cowboy jerseys! After the Cowboys won, we popped in our wedding dvd and celebrated our wedding day all over again. However, no anniversary would be complete without a nice, romantic dinner! Oscar took me to the Towers of the Americas where we spent a romantic evening over dinner! We were in a private booth circling the city, watching the beautiful sunset, and celebrating one year down and MANY, MANY more to come!

In case you were curious to our anniversary wedding cake - we ate about half of it over the course of the weekend and froze the rest for next year! The cake was surprisingly good.

Here's to the first day of our second year of marriage!
I love you, Oscar!
