Our Little Turkey is 9 months!

Wednesday (11-3-10) marked Xia's 9 month birthday! She is growing, growing and has been CRAWLING for nearly 3 weeks already! She is a very fast and efficient crawler, I might add. 3 days after she started crawling, she pulled herself up to stand. Wow! She amazes me everyday. She also went to the Dr. on 11-3 for her 9m check up, which included 2 shots:(. She weighted in @ 20 pounds even, and is 28.875 inches. She has gone up from the 50th percentile to the 75 percentile since her 6.5 month appointment. It's all the yummy food she loves to eat!
We've added yogurt, cheeses, orzo pasta with cheese (like mac and cheese), tilapia, ground beef, and cheerios. I've let her feed herself peas and green beans and the cheerios with much success. She squeezes the banana slices and turns them to mush when I put them on her tray! Which brings me to my next point...we finally ordered a highchair on Costco.com. Up until now she's been dining in her bumbo chair, but the time has come where it is no longer safe.

She is very generous with her food always offering us a bit of whatever food she has in her hands. We have to fake eat it or else she'll continue to hold her hand out with food in it!! It cracks me up. When the food on her tray is gone, she just started holding out her hand for more! Wow, she's acting less like a baby and more of a toddler. Oh no...stop growing up so fast!

Our little baby gives kisses now. No matter how rambunctious she is being at the moment, if you ask for a kiss she calms down, leans in towards your cheek and opens her mouth just a bit and presses her mouth on your cheek... I live for her kisses everyday. No words can describe the feeling and the sheer bliss Oscar and I feel when our little girl gives us kisses:)

She loves to put her hand to her mouth and go "aaa wa wa wa...". She's my little Indian:)

For several days now every time she sees a dog, she says "Duh, duh". I'm not sure if she knows that a dog starts with a "d" or if that is the sound she chooses to use when she sees a doggy. She is in love with our dog and squirms and wiggles so cute every time she touches his nose! It is way too cute!

Oscar and I have so much fun getting on the floor and playing with her. Yesterday we played roll the ball. She actually rolled the ball back and forth with me! She got a kick out of it!

So, here we are - 9 months have past since her birth and she is doing something new everyday, it seems. She is a joy, a blessing, mommy's angel, daddy's girl, a high energy child, lots of laughs, and is our pride and joy. What more could we ask for?!
