We narrowed our list of baby girl names down last night!! Nothing final, but a handful of names to go to the hospital with will suffice:). Of course all of you who read this (if any) are not fourtante enough (so sorry!) to have that list posted here. Our lips are sealed until baby girl Garcia enters this world and we name her in the privacy (ha!) of the delivery room with the doctor, nurses, etc! Then we will notify the family that's with us at the hospital and then to the world, via facebook and twitter! What a glourious day that will be! We can't wait to meet her and see who she looks like:).
I should note here that we have a few qualifications for naming our baby. First, it must sound good in English and in Spanish (the middle name doesn't have to translate to Spanish). Secondly, it must be unique and uncommon. I liked Avery, it's on the top 100 baby names list for 2009, Oscar liked Emma, it, too is on the top 100 baby names list for 2009. We both like Gabriella, and yes, since I'm telling you, it's on the top 100 baby names list for 2009 as well. All three are adorable names, but are too common for us to use.
Until her birth, we are enjoying each others company with movie nights, rock band parties, pre and post holiday parties, walks with Toki at Eisenhower park, sleeping in on weekends and holidays, and setting up the baby's room.
We love you, almost named, Baby Girl Garcia!

It's Christmas Time in the City
My Mom, sister, Rachel, and I went to the Moscow Ballet's Great Russian Nutcracker at the Majestic Theatre the Sunday after Thanksgiving. It was so lovely! I can't wait to take our baby girl once she gets here (and older!). We ate dinner on the Riverwalk and enjoyed all the lights and the carolers on the river boats. It was my Mom and Rachel's first time to the Nutcracker Ballet and it was my 6th or 7th time - and still so magical!
Last week my Mom and sisters (Laura and Rachel) helped put up our tree and decorate while my brother, Grant, and Oscar played rock band and watched G.I. Joe. It was so nice and festive! Our tree looks amazing! Thanks guys for helping:)

13.1
WE DID IT! Oscar and I completed the San Antonio Rock n Roll 1/2 Marathon! Being 28 1/2 weeks pregnant didn't stop me! We got 2 miles of jogging in and walked the rest. My feet and legs are so sore - but it was totally worth it:). Two of our friends walked/jogged with us - Craig Guillen and Lily Hinojosa. We had a great time with them both and grateful that they walked along side us.

Wynken, Blynken, and Nod
Last night I finally decided on our baby girls bedding! Oscar even liked it! I will make the valance and the crib skirt. Isn't it adorable?
My mom loved that the bedding is from the Land of Nod store. When she was a little girl, her mother would read her Eugene Field's poem "Wynken, Blynken, and Nod".
The Big D
We went to Dallas over this past weekend and spent some time with my Aunt Debbie, Uncle Jamie and cousin Jake. It was so nice to see them and visit with them. They have a lovely home and a sweet dog, Haley. We need to see them more often! Last time we visited with them was at our wedding last year.
While in Dallas, I had another bridesmaid dress fitting. I can't believe Jordan is getting married! It will be a beautiful wedding, I know! Her and Donnie's wedding is set for January 2, 2010 in Galveston. Oscar and I are looking forward to celebrating New Years and Jordan and Donnie's wedding at the Hotel Galvez. It should be so wonderful!
